3 Picks for Monday 5.8

Welcome to The Proposition’s 3 at 3. We had been on the lookout for a simple place to find a few picks a day to build a bankroll, round out some parlays, or attempt to beat any of the handful of prop sites out there, and to do so with as little excess junk as possible.

No analysis paralysis, no needless podcast banter, no endless embedded twitter links, just three picks every afternoon.

Promos to be aware of:

Pick #1: LeBron James and Jordan Poole | Under 40.5 Combined Points (-130)

I like the under for both James (26.5) and Poole (12.5) tonight in Game 4. The Lakers have shown that they don't need James to score 30+ to win these games, who's scored more than 26 only once in the postseason. Poole has been bad these past two games, scoring 5 and 6 points. His numbers have been down the entire playoffs and I expect them to stay that way tonight. It honestly needs to be Curry or Thompson to get hot if Golden State wants to stay in this series. James can go for 30, as long as Poole doesn't sink a bunch of 3s, I like the under 40.5. They can both even drop 20 each if they'd like.

Pick #2: Zac Gallen | Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-102)

Zac Gallen revenge game? Whether or not he has some extra motivation after being traded by Miami a couple of years back, I like Gallen’s Over here for a few reasons. In terms of the starters going tonight, Gallen is the top ranked guy in terms of Ks / Inning with an eye popping 1.35. He has also topped this prop in four out his last five starts, including two double-digit strikeout games. Factoring in the fact that Miami is about middle of the road in terms of batter strikeouts, I think Gallen could get to 7 (or potentially a lot more).

Pick #3: Tanner Bibee | Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)

The sample size on the Guardians’ rookie is very small, with just two major league starts under his belt. In those two starts though, Bibee has averaged well over a strikeout per inning, and draws Detroit’s K-happy lineup. I also like that the Tigers have never seen Bibee, which usually helps from a strikeout standpoint.
