3 Picks for Friday 5.19

Welcome to The Proposition’s 3 at 3. We had been on the lookout for a simple place to find a few picks a day to build a bankroll, round out some parlays, or attempt to beat any of the handful of prop sites out there, and to do so with as little excess junk as possible.
No analysis paralysis, no needless podcast banter, no endless embedded twitter links, just three picks every afternoon.

Yesterday’s Rapid Rundown: 0-3
W’s:
L’s: Rough night yesterday. The Dodgers jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Cardinals but then immediately gave up a bunch of runs to lose the first 5 inning play. In that same game, James Outman came up with a hit, but unfortunately did not find anything else to go with it to eclipse the 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI that we were looking for. Finally, on the hardwood, Jokic gave up his big scoring lead that he had on LeBron and did not cover that -3.5 points.
Promos to be aware of:
Jayson Tatum .5 Pts on Sleeper
A’Ja Wilson 16.5 Pts on Prizepicks (down from 19.5, play at your own risk, we do not claim to be WBNA prognosticators.
Pick #1: Max Strus | Over 12.5 Points (-110)
Betting on Heat role players has been a consistent money maker. Max Strus is one of the pivotal pieces to Miami’s incredible playoff run. He’s getting his shots and will likely see 30 minutes in Game 2. He also takes plenty of 3s, taking 5 in Game 1 (and 10 FG).
A lot of experts and cappers think that Miami are going to get blown out of the building tonight, but the Heat have proven that they’re tough and are not going to go away. It doesn’t hurt that Strus has gone over this prop 6 games in a row. Let’s make it 7!
Pick #2: Shane McClanahan | Under 8 Strikeouts (-110?)
This line is sitting at 7.5 in most places, but I am currently staring at an 8 on Prizepicks. The Brewers do strike out a lot, so I guess that is how we ended up at this number, but it feels a little rich to me. McClanahan has topped this total just 3 times in his 9 starts. He also had just three in his last start against the Yankees.
Pick #3: Arizona D’Backs - 1.5 > Pittsburgh Pirates | (-105)
The analysis here is pretty straightforward. Pitching for the Diamondbacks tonight is Zac Gallen, who is currently favored to win the NL Cy Young award. On the other side is Johan Oviedo, who has an ERA over 5 and a ghastly WHIP of 1.64. The D’Backs also have quietly had a top 5 offense in the league this year by a lot of measures. I could easily see a 4-1, 5-2 type of game here so let’s go ahead and try out the runline perhaps.
Record Year to Date: 40 - 34
