3 Picks for Thursday 5.11

Welcome to The Proposition’s 3 at 3. We had been on the lookout for a simple place to find a few picks a day to build a bankroll, round out some parlays, or attempt to beat any of the handful of prop sites out there, and to do so with as little excess junk as possible.
No analysis paralysis, no needless podcast banter, no endless embedded twitter links, just three picks every afternoon.

Yesterday’s Rapid Rundown: 2-1
W’s: Back on the positive side of the ledger. Julius Randle definitely threatened the 36.5 PRA over, but fell just a touch short with a 24-5-5. Lance Lynn got absolutely obliterated by the Royals, giving up 7 ER, which was obviously way way over the 2.5 line that we liked.
L’s: Dean Kremer did an excellent job against the mighty Rays offense, givng up just 1 ER over 6 innings. We liked the over 2.5, so unfortunately eating an L on this one.

Pick #1: Celtics - 2.5 > 76ers | (-120)
It's do or die for the former NBA favorites. Boston looked lackadaisical in Game 5, like a team who had checked out, and they deserve the criticism they're getting--Coach Mazzulla is not ready, Jayson Tatum is soft, they look gassed. But I'm not ready to quit on the Celtics yet. I've seen Philly fall down here too many times. I think Jayson Tatum has a game tonight. I think Boston's superior role players step up. Last year, Boston was in the same spot, down 3-2 to Milwaukee, before storming back to take the series. Even at a 3-2 deficit, I think the Celtics are the better team. They need to show that tonight.
Pick #2: Kevin Durant | Over 39.5 Points + Rebs (-125)
KD and Booker. The life of the 2022-2023 Phoenix Suns rests on their shoulders. Durant has gone 3 for 5 on double-doubles in this series (which I also like Durant for a double-double at +100). His scoring numbers are up at home (going for 39 and 36 in Games 3 and 4), which nearly covers this prop without his solid rebounding numbers. Denver would like to throw everything they have at KD, but a good chunk of their focus and energy will be on Booker, who's outscoring his teammate. While expanded minutes could be part of the reason, Durant is also leading his team in rebounding, snaring no less than 8 in this series. Phoenix has been great in must-win situations, and tonight is no different. While Denver might even close this series, I still like KD to go out stuffing the statsheet while playing almost the entirety of the game.
Pick #3: Tommy Henry | Over 2.5 Earned Runs (-130)
The Giants offense is just kind of middle of the pack, but Tommy Henry just hasn’t been all that impressive this year with ERA on the wrong side of 5. That was against the Nats, Rockies, and Royals (before they got hot), so not exactly the toughest tests out there. Perhaps Henry has been dancing around the blow-up, and I think there is a decent chance it comes tonight.
