3 Picks for Thursday 5.18

Welcome to The Proposition’s 3 at 3. We had been on the lookout for a simple place to find a few picks a day to build a bankroll, round out some parlays, or attempt to beat any of the handful of prop sites out there, and to do so with as little excess junk as possible.
No analysis paralysis, no needless podcast banter, no endless embedded twitter links, just three picks every afternoon.

Pick #1: Nikola Jokic -3.5 Over Lebron James Points H2H | (-120)
The Joker is a scoring machine. On the other side, LeBron James is deferring much more than he used to, looking to setup teammates, including AD, who dropped 40 in Game 1. While not playing against each other (other than Game 1), Jokic has outscored James by 3.5 in 7 of the last 10 games. He's averaging 31 to James's 23.6. James also rarely touches 30, hanging out in the mid-20s in scoring. LeBron could have a hell of a game tonight and carry LA to a major win, but it likely won't be at the expense of the true MVP.
Jokic looked unguardable on Tuesday, and regardless of Game 2's result, I expect him to outperform the King by 4 or more in the scoring column.
Pick #2: Los Angeles Dodgers > St. Louis Cardinals First 5 | (-.5) (-130)
Here we have a big big pitching match-up mismatch with Julio Urias going against Adam Wainwright. Wainwright has not been good at all in his first two starts, posting an ERA of 7.20 and generating almost no swinging strikes (a horrendous 3 in his last start against the Red Sox.) Pair that up against a star-laden Dodgers line-up and I do believe there will be trouble. On the other side, Urias has been his typical good to great self, and I think that is enough to get us through the first 5 innings successfully.
Pick #3: James Outman | Over 1.5 Runs + Hits + RBI(-125)
See above for all my thoughts on why the Dodgers hitters should have a nice match-up tonight. This season, through 44 games (some of which he did not start), Outman has 37 hits, 27 RBI, and 28 Runs, which is a pretty solid number of counting stats. If the Dodgers do get to Wainwright like I think they will, expect Outman to get over this total, and he may even do it with one swing of the bat.
